Removing Cornea scare tissue?!


Question: Removing Cornea scare tissue!?
My mother has lost vision in her eye!. Due to messed up surgery!. She has has a few opinions and is looking for a way to get her vision back!. The doctor has told her she has scare tissue on the cornea and would see much better if this was removed!. Short of a cornea transplant is there a way to solve this!. Please professional advice only!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the scarring is relatively superficial, PTK (phototherapeutic keratectomy) can remove the scarred corneal tissue and allow new epithelium to grow over the area resulting in improved vision!. Of course, as you have said, corneal transplantation can deal with scarring but I would definitely recommend PTK over transplantation if the scarring is the type which will respond to PTK!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
