What exactly is a Glaucoma number?!

Question: What exactly is a Glaucoma number!?
I recently went to get my eyes checked, and i'm not exactly sure what it's called but had to have air puffed into my eyes!. The doctor then wanted to do it again because the "numbers" were high!. I made sure I wasn't squinting or anything because he said that's what could have caused it!. With the numbers still being high he proceeded with numbing my eye and puts light's on it!. He told me my number was 29!. He told me that it was high for my age, I'm 16!. What does this mean!? And should I be worried!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
glaucoma is eye pressure,so the higher your number is the more likely to have glaucoma you are!. a normal number that i get while pre-testing patients that is 16 is between 10 and 18!. The doctor that i work with says that she refers out any patient over a 26 to an optomologist!. most people that get high numbers have health problems like high blood pressure or diabetes!. if your eye doctor referred you to an optomologist, i would go, you can go blind from glaucoma!. if not, then don't worry!. i just found this site so i hope it helps it's www!.glaucoma!.orgWww@Answer-Health@Com
