What do you think about contacts?!
Question: What do you think about contacts!?
Its time for me to get new classes,and im thinking bout getting color contacts, im 15, and mom thinks that i can get an infection if i get contacts!.!.!.What are the risks of i get contacts!?!?!? whats are the negative and positive thing about them!?!?!? If i get them what color should i get them!?!? i have brown(but not to dark) eyes!.
oooh and by the way: i usually use glasses for reading only, but most of the time i have trouble seeing far away!. should i stick with glasses
or contacts!?!?

I currently wear contacts (age=28) have been wearing contacts since 13!.
Positives= you feel more confident about yourself, you dont have to worry about your glasses falling off basically everything/anything you ever had problems with when you have your glasses are gone when you get contacts
Negatives= sometimes one may flip out if your eyes get dry or you rub your eyes, they are very irritating if and when you have allergies, you cant sleep in them, you have to take them out every night clean them and store them, the disposables you have to refill, the longer lasting ones can possibly give you an eye infection if not cleaned or stored properly as is the case with disposables as well
Basically contacts do require a sense of responsibility to take care of them however I wouldnt see why you wouldnt want to take that time to do them right since they are going in your eyes
I also have problems seeing far away and love my contacts but as recommended glasses are necessary as a backup for the days you dont want to wear you glasses, lose a one side etc!.!.!.!.!.
My eyes are dark brown and I have worn grey, green and hazel!. I'm african american so hazel looked more natural and I received alot of compliments!. As I've gotten older I've gone to clear!.
There are pamphlets provided at the optometrist with the various colors available, the eye doctor also carries trial pairs in various colors so that you can try the ones you are interested in before purchasing them, with disposables you also have the option to split your orders so you can get two colors if you chose or one color and the rest clear, always up to you!. cause i hate wearing glasses

Well, for me as a teenager at 15, I would go with contacts unless you have serious medical issues with your eyes!. Afterall, they are pretty!.
The risks would be getting an infection, having your contacts stuck to the deeper part of your eyelids, and many others!.
If you remember to ALWAYS clean them and NEVER sleep with them, then your fine!.
Since you have somewhat of a tinted eye, i wouldn't suggest you getting anything of a light color!. Gray and violet would look ugly since it doesnt make the eye stand out!. So maybe bright aqua blue since I love them!. Even a mix color contact won't be that bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i used to use glasses only for some stuff but i didnt see **** around a 3 meter distance!. since i use contacts its so much different, i can see pretty girls at a distance and stuff i couldnt see before!. so maybe you should try if you dont wanna use glasses!. the cons are the price, you have to pay some cash monthly, and i never really got an infection but sometimes my eyes get a bit uncomfortable and once or twice i got a lense stuck in my eye and it gets red but then it goes away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Contacts 70% of the time work great!. They've been working perfectly for me since I first put them on at 12 years old!. At 15, you're more than ready for contacts!. Give them a go, but don't try the color ones on your first pair - do it after you adjust to placing them on your eyes (which is the hardest part, but you'll get it down pat quickly)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I'm in the same situation and age!. I'm apprehensive about wearing contacts although I still favor glasses more!. When compared to spectacles, contact lenses are less affected by wet weather, do not steam up, and provide a wider field of vision!. They are more suitable for a number of sporting activities!.
Complications due to contact lens wear affect roughly 4% of contact lens wearers each year!. I for one, don't mind if glasses ruin my appearance!. And on top of all that, I don't wear my glasses 24/7!. If your having trouble seeing with your present glasses, you should see the eye doc!. and change them!.
