You are experiencing what is called a "pressure phosphene"!. Your retinal receptors send signals to the brain and when the brain receives these signals, the only way it can interpret them is some type of visual phenomenon!. Retinal receptors are designed to be stimulated by light but can also be stimulated by pressure!. This pressure can be from direct manipulation of the eye by pressing on the sides of the eye and deforming the retina OR it can occur by pressing directly on the front of the eye and temporarily increasing the overall intra ocular pressure within the eye!. Whatever you are doing is stimulating the retinal receptors and the brain interprets this in a visual manner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the eye is an input devise it responds and sends information to the brain!. the pressure is translated as information to go to the brain!. tmmWww@Answer-Health@Com
