Tips for eye care? slight lazy looking eye?!

Question: Tips for eye care!? slight lazy looking eye!?
Answers:
I had a lazy eye when I was younger and I was given exercises to do to help it!. I had to hold a pen upright about 18 inches away from my face and slowly bring it towards my nose!. The aim was to stop myself from seeing two pens!. As the pen got closer and the exercise got more difficult, I had to focus really hard to keep my visual picture of one pen!. The ultimate aim would have been to get the pen all the way to my nose and "cross my eyes" but I never quite managed this!.
Do this exercise about three or four times a day for five minutes a time - don't do too much in one go or you will get a terrible headache!. Little and often is the key!. It should help your lazy eye!. However, when you next get your sight tested you should ask your optician to check it out as rarely it can be a sign of something more serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you mean that one eye doesn't look straight (strabismus) you may consider seeing a pediatric ophthalmologist!. They are medical doctors who specialize in strabismus in children and adults!. They will be able to test how well your eyes work together, measure the misalignment, determine your vision, determine if glasses or contacts may help, and recommend an appropriate treatment- no treatment, glasses or contacts, or surgery!.

If you mean that one eye doesn't look as open as the other (ptosis), you may consider seeing an ophthalmologist!. Again, they may recommend no treatment or surgery!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you likely mean you think you have strabismus!. Sometimes this can even be an illusion because of the differences in eyelids etc!.
An easy (but sometimes wrong answer) test to do is stand so a light is reflected off your eyes ( with a mirror or somebody else) and see if the light is reflected off the same place in both of your eyes!. If its reflected of two different places, thats a fairly good indicator youve got strabismus!. See a paediatric opthamologist for your options!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
