Has anyone heard the term "Floaters"?!

Question: Has anyone heard the term "Floaters"!?
On a medical program that I was watching on television, a woman was having eyesight problems!. They said that she had "floaters" which are pieces of retina that broke off and moved to the front of the eye!. They appear to the people who have them as little specks floating in their vision!. They weren't the principal cause of her problems; the show went on to explain a different condition that she had, saying that the floaters were harmless!.

I have these "floaters!." They come and go, usually singularly, but when there are several at once in my peripherals they can get extremely annoying!.

Does anyone know more about the cause of "floaters"!? The program I was watching only mentioned them in passing!. My vision has been getting progressively worse since I was ten years old and I wonder if it really is my retinas breaking apart and affecting my vision!. The show said that floaters are harmless, but isn't what causes them, the retina breaking apart, extremely harmful!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been getting a whole lot more than I had when i was a kid, and I was worried, but my ophthalmologist said they were totally normal!.

Eye floaters can appear as small spots in front or to the sides of the eyes that are seen only by the person experiencing them!. They are often momentary and may be most noticeable when one looks at a blank wall!. They are caused by small clumps forming in the vitreous, the gel inside the eye!.

The clumps that cause eye floaters may be made up of proteins, or cells of the vitreous!. As we age, the gel that forms that makes up the vitreous can clump more easily producing eye floaters with greater regularity!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are many causes of floaters - and some of them are serious (such as toxoplasmosis)!. You would have other symptoms though if you had such a serious disease!. Most floaters are harmless - and they can be removed!.

Some people who have the floaters in their eyes zapped by a laser to break them up actually find that their condition worsens because the smaller pieces are more irritating!. Discuss it with your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have floaters as well!.
I would think that teeny bits of your retina coming off would be no big deal as long as it doesn't happen all at once, rather like your skin cells flaking off a little all the time, but all at once is bad!.
You should see an opthmalogist if your eyes are so bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they are my poop in the toilet not kidding thats when my doctors calls themWww@Answer-Health@Com
