Answers:
You have a fairly strong prescription, needing assistance with seeing distance (versus reading)!. Is this your first pair of glasses or has it been a while since you had a new prescription!? When you first get a new pair of glasses it will take a little time to get used to them, as your eyes are used to working to a certain degree to focus and your glasses are now changing how hard they have to work!. If after a few hours of wearing them you still have discomfort, there's a possibility your prescription is not correct, or the glasses weren't made correctly to the prescription!.

As far as why your eyes look "weird," this has to do with the way the lenses work!. Glasses lenses are essentially a pair of prisms attached base to base or apex to apex (in your case, apex to apex [tip to tip]), which bend the light so it enters your eye and hits your retina the way it's supposed to, allowing you to see!. In a strong minus RX like yours, the prisms have to bend the light a lot, so your eyes end up looking small through your lenses!. What kind of lens material do you have in your glasses!? Plastic or polycarbonate will have a lower refractive index, making it less dense so the lenses have to be thicker to work which causes your eyes to look "funnier!." A hi-index lens would be the best choice for you because it's more dense and will achieve the correct RX in a thinner lens and cause less distortion to the way your eyes appear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
