What are those clear, squiggly eye-floater things that sometimes get caught in y!

Question: What are those clear, squiggly eye-floater things that sometimes get caught in your vision!?
You know what I'm talking about!?

They're little transparent squiggly lines that float around in your field of vision and when you try to look at them they move in the same direction of your eye movement!.

I know this sounds crazy, but there's nothing wrong with my vision and I can't be the only one who sees them!Www@Answer-Health@Com

"TheDelinquentPrince" is pretty much 100% wrong except for saying that almost everyone will see this at one time in their life and in most of those cases it's under heavy stress periods and really doesn't mean much!.

"*Baby Dust*" is right on with her answer at least as far as she goes with it!. What you describe as a "squiggly eye-floater thing" is actually a blood vessel in your eye that has become enlarged because it is pumping more blood through it that it is supposed to have!. No, not a sign of an impending stroke or anything like that other than in extreme cases!. It can be caused by many things the biggest of which is what "*Baby Dust*" says !.!.!. elevated blood pressure!. That is why I say that "TheDelinquentPrince" is right when he says that everybody sees that at some time in their lives during high stress moments !.!.!. high stress leads to elevated blood pressure!. Nobody goes through life without having this happen to them at least once!.

Another major reason for this is migraine headaches!. I guess in truth it is a circular event because migraine headaches cause elevated blood pressure!. This is one area that I have A LOT of experience with as I have suffered from Cluster Migraines since I was a baby !.!.!. my parents were actually so worried about it when I was younger that they took me in for CAT scans every 6 months from the time I was 4 until I was 10 because my doctors always got "inconclusive" results from the tests!. They always said they were looking for a tumor but I've come to believe that they were actually trying to see if I had a brain in there !.!.!. lol !.!.!. apparently they either found one when I was 10 or just said the hell with looking more because it would be a waste of time !.!.!. lol !.!.!. Of course at that time, early 70s, there were only two kinds of headaches !.!.!. stress and migraine !.!.!. it took another 20 years for them to figure out that there were a whole bunch of different types of migraines!. Whenever I see that "squiggly" thing and see little bright flashes like seeing a flash cube go off in the distance I know I got a migraine coming on!. If I see it in time I can usually head them off by taking a couple of aspirin and sucking down a couple cans of Mt Dew as the aspirin and the caffeine in the Dew act as a blood thinner and can sometimes stop the headache!. If you want a little proof that I actually do know what I'm talking about with this here's a little "exercise" that you can do!. The next time you see that in your vision try to look directly at it!. If this is the same thing I'm talking about you won't be able to do it no matter how many times you try !.!.!. yeah, I've tested that theory a couple million times !.!.!. lol !.!.!. The reason why you can't look directly at it is because that squiggly line is in a specific position in your eye and when you turn your eyes to look at it you move it as well!.

There is a third major reason for this to be happening !.!.!. Diabetes!. My dad has Diabetes and when his "sugar" goes low he becomes almost blind!.

This could be a major thing or it could be a minor thing!. If you have the means to do it I would urge you to get some tests done to see if it's being caused by any of the things I mention above!.

May The Force Be With You !.!.!.

BTW !.!.!. I emailed you off board like you asked me to do but never got a reply back from you!. I'll try sending it again!.

EDIT: Gotta love the thumbs down for an honest and true answer !.!.!.

I see them too, everyone sees them, lol if you look at a light and quickly look away, you'll see them!. I dont think its harmful though, something to do with your optic nerve or retina I think!. Have your eyes checked though if your really concerned, because it could be retinal detachment or some other eye disease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its actually a sign of high blood pressure, the increased flow causes you to see the blood flow which resembles white sparkles!. If you notice it commonly I suggest talking to your doctor, high blood pressure can be bad for your health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
