Contact missing behind eye?!

Question: Contact missing behind eye!?
I took a nap with my contacts on after work and after waking up 45 minutes later I wasn't able to locate my contact from my left eye!. After looking for my contact around my eye for two or three minutes, I finally found the contact and took it out!. But I noticed a quarter of it was missing!. My left eye doesn't seem irritated, but I feel that maybe the missing quarter of my contact is still floating around somewhere in my eye!. Should I see an eye doctor about this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes!. This happens to me sometimes and it really makes me panic!. Before you see a doctor, try to get it out on your own first!. Try splashing lots of water onto your eye and see if it gets pushed out!. Alternatively, you could flush it out with saline eye drops!. Do not worry too much, it will not enter the back of your eyes!. If it doesn't come out soon, see a doctor!. And try not to sleep with your contacts again - doing so causes problems more severe than this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try using a little water in a small cup as an eye rinse!. If the piece is in there, that may wash it out!. When I had a piece of a soft lens floating in the back of my eye I could definitely tell it was there!. If your eye isn't red or irritated tomorrow, I'd guess the missing piece somehow got out of there!. But, if in doubt!.!.!.!.

Hope it's o!.k!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

` oh!. that happened to me during my first week of wearing contacts!. use your eye solution and blink slowly, [ i dunno for you, but it works for me ] , and eventually the contacts will be centered again in your eye!. if you still can't take it out, consult the doctor to avoid serious problems to arise!. ` note: oh, don't sleep with your contacts, it irritates the eye!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DO NOT USE WATER TO RINSE YOUR EYES OUT!! You could get a serious infection from the amoeba in the water!. Does it feel like something is in your eye!? If your eye feels scratchy/irritated the piece of contact may still be in your eye!. If your eye feels fine the piece may have torn off while you were putting them in etc!.!. If you have any doubts you should just see you eye doctor just to be sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try flushing your eye out - some great lubricating drops to use are called Systane Ultra - great for lubricating and for helping to remove any more remnants of the contact!. But it may be best to visit your eye doctor just in case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
