Question: Contacts irritating my eyes again after GPC!?
In January I was told I had GPC from overwearing my contacts!. I wore them 18 hours a day before that!. I went to minimum wear and used drops that I was prescribed!. After a month I went back to wearing them almost full time!. I don't wear them as long now, I usually wear my glasses for an hour or two at night!. I still use the drops before I put my contacts in but recently the contacts have been irritating my eyes again!. Its not as bad as when I had the GPC but it is still annoying!. These are a new pair of contacts so it shouldn't be a problem!. I wore my glasses today but I will have to put my contacts in later when I have dance practice!. Should I be worried about this!? Is it the GPC coming back!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

it probably *IS* the GPC again!. GPC is usually chronic/recurrent!. VERY FEW (like virtually none) GPC cases take drops for awhile and are then "cured" forever!. they all recur almost all the time!. it almost always comes back (or never really goes away is more like it)!.
gotta be aggressive IMO!. i quell the initial problem with steroids (lotemax) then switch nearly all my GPC patients to DAILIES (like focus dailies by ciba)!. thats the only thing IMO that reliably worksWww@Answer-Health@Com

I had GPC before!. First of all, you really aren't supposed to wear contacts for more than 12 hours a day!. So, make sure you don't go past that, or at least for a while so your eyes can heal!. When I got it, I tried so many different types of contacts and none were comfortable!. Then, I tried daily disposables, and all of a sudden, I could wear contacts again!. The kind I use is Ciba Vision Dailies Aqua Comfort Plus!. I recommend trying them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
