Question: When do i throw the contacts away:!?
i bought them yesterday and i am going to wear them tomorrow i haven't even opened the packet, i was just wondering how many times can i wear them before i am meant to through them out:!?

it depends on what they are!. there are many different brands/modalities!. do you know what brand it is!?
in the US the majority of contact lens wearers are using daily wear, 2-week disposables!. that means wear them 14 times and dont sleep in them!. throw them away after the 14th wear!.

Ask your doctor about them!. Special contacts can be worn longer, but it depends now long per day!. if your only wearing about 8 hours or so, maybe at school, then they will last longer, but if your doing 16 hours or more a day with them, u may need to change them out more frequently!.

it depends on what type of lenses you are wearing,they are made in so many materials,all meant to be worn differently!.what did the dr tell you that prescribed the contacts!?!?!?only that person knows the correct answer!.if you are new to them,please call the office and ask them your question!.they will find out from your chart,where any good dr would have told you in the first place during your insertion&removal training!.good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If they are disposables, they can be worn ussualy anywhere frmo 2-4 weeks!.
If they are regular daily wear contacts, they can be worn up to about a year!. If you have allergies you will need to replace them more often, because more stuff can build up on the lenses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mine are disposable and I can wear mine 3 or 4 months at a time as long as they arent bothering my eyes, then I get a new pair!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
