LASIK is more dependent upon technology than a surgeon's skill!. 85 to 90 percent of patients have perfect vision afterward!. The eye is numbed, a suction device is placed onto each eye then the "flap" is made with a blade or laser using a machine!. The flap is peeled back and a laser programmed with your eye's topography is used for about 15 seconds to reshape the surface of the corneal tissue beneath the flap!. The flap is replaced and the procedure is complete!. There was, in my case, no pain whatsoever aside from an extreme sensitivity to light for the first week!. My sight a week after the procedure was 20/15 and 20/20 with an expectation to get better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Each person is different when it comes to this type of surgery because people's prescriptions are all so different!. So no matter what anybody says to you about it, you should do your homework and get many different opinions from different doctors!. Bottom line, this is a surgery that once it's done, there is no going back!. Right now you can see even if you have to wear glasses or contacts but I have heard people talk about this surgery as if it were the worst thing they had ever done because after the surgery their eyes were a lot worse!. My thoughts on this goes like this; The words doctor, eyes, laser and Tara DO NOT go together in any sentence ever!. I just don't trust people especially doctors with lasers in my eye!. That's just my opinion because I know it's not for everybody and for some it works great!. Just do your homework before you do this because there is no "Un-do" button!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had several family members have this done!. One has incredible eyesite with no problems the other has incredible eyesite but sees hallows around lites at nite!. Here is a site to go to where you might get more information!. Hope it helps,
