Question: What should I say to my parents to get them to buy me contacts!?!!?
I have TERRIBLE eyesight and I can't see anything (that an exaggeration-but my eyesight is very poor) without my glasses!. They are crooked because my ex was rolling down a hill and ROLLED on them--ugh!. So they bent and look goofy!. I'm not a nerd and I really don't want to wear glasses and i want contacts!. What should I say to my parents to get them to get me contacts!? And what advice do you have for contact-beginners!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The way to prove to your parents that you deserve contacts is to show some responsibility!. Not that you arent responsible, but in our office, if the patient is under 18 years old, then it is always that parents who must decide!. And the way that we help the parents is by asking the parents how mature and responsible the child is!. If you show that you are mature for your age, then they should agree!. Also if you are in any sports at all, then contacts are the best choice! You can always use that on your side!. Also tell them that you are growing up, and you dont want glasses to limit how you look to others!. If your a driver, then tell them that your side vision is limited and your scared that you may have an accident!.
Maybe these are some ways that will help you convince your parents to let you get contacts!. Just dont blow it if they agree, and prove yourself to them by taking care of your contacts, and not sleeping in them!. Limit tearing the contacts and also try your best not to lose them, because this means more money out of their pocket, and they may force you to go without them

You don't have to worry about getting water on the lenses and causing them to be blurry in the rain!. You can buy regular sunglasses because it is important to protect your eyes in the sun!. You can use contacts in the shower so you can see what you're doing and for swimming if they are used carefully!. However, if you do get contacts, you have to listen to your eye doctor because eye infections are more common with contacts!. As long as you take care of them, they should be fine!.
