Has anyone had LASIK surgery?!

Question: Has anyone had LASIK surgery!?
If you have or know someone who did, how did you/they do after the surgery!? Was there any pain during or after the surgery!? Was your/their eye sight an improvement!?
I am thinking about getting LASIK done on my eyes and was wanting some feedback, thanks in advance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had LASIK done just over 11 years ago!. My eyes were a little tender afterward, but after about 24 hours, they were fine!.

My vision was almost perfect the following morning - but it did fluctuate quite a bit from day to day as my eyes healed!.

I went from -10!.75/-12!.25 to 0/0!.!.!.!. I have 20/20 vision in both eyes and couldn't be happier!

The only part I can possibly complain about - which isn't really a complaint - is that they didn't tell me about the SMELL!. As I was getting my first eye done, this HORRIBLE odor hit me, and it took me a few seconds to realize that the smell was of BURNING FLESH!.!.!. it was the vaporizing tissue from my own eyes!. No, there was NO pain, but the smell was unsettling and I wish they had warned me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Been there, done that, see everything!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

some eye specialists, such as retina specialists, are completely opposed to the procedure, no matter how state of the art the equipment is they're just completely 100% against it, also, I know someone who got it done a while ago and after 3 yrs he went back to wearing glasses again because the effect didn't last!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know someone who had this procedure and she is still using eye drops more than two years after having it done!. One common side effect of it are dry eyes and it's often permanent!. She said that she wouldn't have done it if she knew about the dry eyes!. She sees perfectly but always has to carry around eye drops!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had Lasik eye surgery done after wearing glasses for 16 years!. It has been perfect for me!. I have had no changes!. Of course, as I age, I expect changes!. I also co-manage refractive surgery and have seen hundreds of successful patients!. It doesn't hurt, generally!. There is a bit of pressure, but no real pain if you have LASIK!. The PRK version (where no flap is cut) is a little more uncomfortable for the first few days following the procedure!. I've seen several people who said they were in some pain, but healed just fine!. I used to wear both glasses and contact lenses!. I had LASIK done and it's the best decision I've ever made!. I can see clearly, no squinting, no driving with glasses anymore!. I can read road signs, see the individual leaves in the trees (they're not just a blurry mess anymore)!. It's also nice to be able to see what time it is when I wake up!. The procedure is painless (although a bit uncomfortable) but takes less than 15 minutes!. Highly recommended!.
