You are describing a metamorphopsia!. Distortion in the lines on an amsler grid indicate some type of retinal phenomenon or an optical migraine!. If what you notice on the amsler grid does not resolve within 30 minutes to at most an hour, then chances are it is a retinal problem!. The bilateral nature of the problem means it is probably not injury related but is more likely to be related to some type of inherited disease such as macular degeneration!. If it does not resolve, you need to go see your eye doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
