If you're using a soft contact lense, it's unlikely your eye is damaged in any way, but it doesn't do any harm to get your eyes seen by a specialist just to be sure, especially if your eye is still sore after removing the contact!. It's possible you still have a tiny piece left in your eye that you overlooked!. This would certainly cause pain!. If I were you, I would call down to your local optician's, tell them what happened and ask them to take a look!. If there's a shard still in your eye, they'll remove it easily and they may then check your eye for scratches etc!. The most common cause of torn contacts is long nails!. Your nails can often tear the contact as you pop it in or out of your eye!. So, if that's the case trim them down whenever you're using contacts!. Hope I helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Consult an eye doctor!. He/she can check for damage to your eye!.
You should wear your glasses- not contact lenses until you have your appt!.
