Cindy, it appears you might have a mild case of Keratoconus...
And the CL that you're using is a very very SPECIAL lens... the optical part (centre) is a rigid lens that moulds the tears behind the lens and infront of your cornea to neutralise the cornea's irregularity, to correct your vision. Hence this Contact Lens power is in no way linked to your own eye's power... (as the tears' lens are the thing that corrects your power)
The soft outer part just improves the comfort of wearing the CL.
If you buy any soft lens... it will NOT correct your irregularity, the're just like glasses to you.. useless... The power of your CL won't match with anything you get online... I'm sorry to say, but it's best to save up and have another check with your eyecare prof. and get new proper lenses.
Hi , I was interested in your question. I have to tell you that both my parents noticed their eyesight deteriorate over time and had to wear glasses. They were considering laser surgery but were advised to try natural remedies first. They read an article called How To Restore Your Eyesight Without Surgery. They took the advice, did the recommended eye exercises and were delighted with the results. Neither of them wear glasses anymore! I can't say if it will work for you, but it's a fascinating read and teaches alot about how to look after your eyes. Apparently my parents experience is quite typical. You might like to give it a try aswell - it can't do any harm!
I wish you good luck.

Don't you still have a pair of lenses that you have been using? Why not use them until you have the money to get a new prescription? Also, if you don't have the money for the exam, how will you pay for the new lenses?
You've got to be very careful and don't play with your eyes by buying stuff off the internet like that. You could easily wind up messing up your eyes for good. Talk to your eye doctor and see if there is anything that can be worked out as far as payment goes. Maybe he/she will let you pay a little bit each week or every other week.
Good luck...
