Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism?!

Question: Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism?
I have extremely bad eyesight. I tried contacts about a year ago and could not wear them. I think the girl at the eye doctors i went to (walmart) was a little too goofy and didn't measure my eyes right. The contacts did not help me see at all and usually gave me headaches (so i assume they were also too strong--even though i got glasses also prescribed by the same walmart doctor and they are fine).

I was wondering if anyone with astigmatism and bad vision has ever tried this brand of contacts and if they worked for you. How did they feel in your eye, did you have problems with them being too big for your eyeball (which i had with the last contacts), and/or were they worth getting? Thanks

Lenses for astigmatism are called " Toric " lenses.

Ok, so this is just one brand that may work for you. It isn't any better than several other brands available. It all depends which one works best for you. They don't all work the same for everyone.

It sounds like you need a contact lens fitter who has some experience and knows what they are doing , not a "tech" ( glorified secretary ) in the optometrists office.

With Toric lenses , trial fittings have to be done , which sometimes will require trying 2 or 3 different brands until the one that works best for you is found.
