I'm not sure what they would look for; lice in your eyelashes? I think you have been watching the show "monsters inside me" too much ! They have a machine I call the "puff-O-meter" it sends a puff of air into your eye to test for excessive pressure (possibly a sign of glaucoma). Usually they dillate your pupils and look into your eyes with a special light to check for various other eye diseases, I'm sure, if in the course of the exam, they discovered worms in your eye or some other disgusting parasite condition, they would send you to a specialist.
What kind of parasites? The most common parasite involving the eye is Toxoplasma Gondii, and when affects the eye it causes lesions in the retina and that can be checked in a eye fundus examination that all ophthalmologists can perform
