I'm nearsighted, is it okay if i wear glasses when i read a book? Is it bad!

yes it's bad because it will make your eyesight worse much more quickly. The only exception is when nearsightedness is higher than -3 (-4,-5, and so on). In such cases it's much better to read books using undercorrections, i.e. weaker glasses.

If you went to optician and they told you to wear them while your reading then I think it's ok. But if you haven't maybe go and get your eyes checked and see if the optician agrees with wearing them.

You may but you may also want to hold the book farther away (around 18 inches) so that you do not strain your eyes. If you are comfortable reading without them, you may do that too.
