I have a lenscrafters interview and I need help?!

Question: I have a lenscrafters interview and I need help?
I am looking for a job that will replace my current job which is working as a clerk in a retail store. I am also waiting for my graduation from my college. I applied at Lenscrafters and I am not really sure what to say. My skills are only stocking, clerk and cleaning What are the pros and cons of working there?

I am also not sure if they have careers but do they only have optometrist jobs?

Answers:

Lenscrafters don't just hire Optometrist, they also hire people that can sell glasses. So basically you are looking at a retail job. Trying to get someone to buy a pair of eyeglasses. Sounds like you are more than qualified to work at Lenscrafters since you already have previous retail experience. But since you will be technically working along side a doctor you are also in the medical field. So at some point you will need to learn something about contact lenses and phone manners. Its a little in the medical field than retail. For instance you cannot turn anyone away that is complaining of pain, headaches, or light sensitivity, by law the doctor has to see them same day. So little things like that you will need to learn when you start work.

Pros: Benefits and eyeglasses

Cons: Retail environment. As you already know you have to make a certain amount everyday. Just like any other place that is retail.

Treat this interview like any other interview for a retail position and since they already know your work history they aren't going to ask medical questions.
