Is lasik eye surgery worth it?!


Question: Is lasik eye surgery worth it?
its expensive and it frightens me a bit knowing that i'll be able to see something coming toward my eye. and i also heard that it wears off after like 5 yrs… is this true? if anyone has done it please give me some info so i know what to do

Some people need to use glasses again after months or a few years, but aside from that the most important thing to consider is that there are many risks involved .
If something goes wrong you might ruin your eyesight forever. Nobody becomes blind, but your eyesight could be permanently damaged.
If you're nearsighted (myopic) try exercises, they do work (at least the good ones)

My dad had this done.. the answer saying "it made me blind"....before you get the surgery done they make sure your retina (i think) is thick enough so they are able to shape it. so that person could have taken a risk when they had too thin of a retina causing them to go blind. But My dad's vision is improved and didn't 'wear off' It's been about 10 years...and he hasn't worn glasses since.
