What does this mean. (Question in details)?!

Question: What does this mean. (Question in details)?
My friend was late to school. He said that he woke up with a bloody nose and that blood was coming out of his tear ducts, or "crying blood". He said he wasn't crying, it just started coming out of his eyes after the nose bleed. I'm kind of concerned. I'm not sure if it's a brain cancer or anything else. If anyone has any idea if what it can be, thanks for letting me know. Thanks.

Answers:

If he had a bloody nose, it is *possible* that if the nose bleed started when he was lying down sleeping, it could have flowed backwards and come out the puncta (that's the little tiny hole you have on your bottom eyelid, close to your nose, if you even look very closely in the mirror).

Normally, tears go down into that duct and drain through your nose. So everything is connected.

Therefore, it's possible based on the position he was in when he was sleeping that things somehow could have gone backward.

However, I've never actually heard of that happening and if he truly was "bleeding out of his eye" and he wasn't just all messing from the bloody nose, I would definitely get to the ER to have things checked out.

Better to be safe than sorry. Anytime blood is somewhere it doesn't below, that's usually not a good thing.

That's bad, really bad. I can't remember what it was called but rush your friend to the ER NOW!
