Contact lense question??!?!

Question: Contact lense question??!?
So I been using contact lenses since Halloween of 2010 and since the new year has started I haven't been using them, I just got tired of having to Wearing them and hated that they left my eyes red after taking them off, now back to my question is it bad that I stopped using them? Will it hurt my eyes? I'm gonna start using them again tomorrow!

Answers:

It won't have hurt your eyes to stop using them. Wearing or not wearing glasses or contacts doesn't make any difference to your eyes. You need to look at this eye redness thing though. That can be a sign that you are overwearing your lenses, your eyes are NOT supposed to be red after you take them out. It could also be a sign that your eyes are dry. Try wearing them gradually and for less time than before. If the redness continues then you need to go back to your optician, it could be that some things about the lenses need to be adjusted. Lenses aren't always spot on firt time.

You were probably getting used to wearing them, that why yr eyes were red, contacts do take bit of getting used to, you need to go slow, dont wear them too long! thats a big mistake that I did many times! or.. yes yr eyes will get red, wear them a little bit more each day, til u can wear them for longer periods. Eye drops for contact lenses help a bit too. It isnt bad that you stopped, if they still hurt yr eyes after trying them again, maybe you should see yr optometist and let them check the fit, also.. some ppl cant tolerate contacts. They arent for everyone, some ppl have sensitive eyes. Try again and go slow with the wear?
My eyes hurt at first too, but I did get used to the contacts, after going slow with wearing

long term contact lens and glasses wearer!

You're probably not removing the contacts the proper way. Cause I'm the first day i got them I easily put contacts and removing it with hurting my eye.

Wear contacts and glasses
