To put it in a nut shell, no.

The readers are intended for people who's distance vision is OK, but are old enough that their close vision isn't working so good any more. Since there is generally no astigmatism involved and usually both eyes need about the same help, selecting a pair of reading glasses that works is not that complicated. For distance glassses, there are so many possibilities that it would be very difficult for a store to stock all the zillions of combinations as pre-made glasses and even more difficult for the average person to determine which ones were the proper strength for them. If you don't have a lot of money, try getting an eyetest and glasses at Walmarts, also see if your insurance (if any) will cover some of it. If you have a prescription that is out of date, but you're certain your eyes haven't changed, you could try ordering on line at www.zennioptical.com. The last time I ordered from there they didn't ask for any kind of contact info for verification of the prescription. They have since up-dated the site, so I don't know if it is still the case or not. However, if you can scrape together 50 bucks or so, it would be better to get a proper eye test and know you are getting glasses that match what you need.

yeah....they are called binoculars
