Do people look ugly with glasses?!

Very bold styles are popular, but drilled rimless are also still popular too. Drilled rimless styles have almost no frame except for the bridge and temples. When combined with a nice anti-reflective coating, the glasses almost disappear on your face. They may be a bit more expensive, but will be the least noticeable on your face. Most women your age are wearing heavier looking plastic frames in all varieties of colors though. You could also try a semi rimless frame, (no frame on the bottom). It could be a little bold, but appear a little less obvious on your face.

Depending on where you go to look at frames, you will find some willing to advise you on style and color, but others may just let you choose just to make a sale. The people that want you back in the future will offer better advice.

Some people look really good in glasses, but you cannot judge that by yourself. You're your own biggest critique, and other people don't really even notice a lot of stuff. It also depends on the color of frames you get, i have brown ones. It matches my hair and eyes, which makes me look better then if i had even just simple black ones.

From experience: when I was 13 I had braces, glasses, AND freckles! And I wasn't "model skinny" like so many 13 year olds! :)
But I don't think they make a person look ugly. You might try out different colors, shapes, and wire/metal or plastic frames. I love plastic frames but they look HORRIBLE on me. I would keep shopping around. My eye doctor is pretty flexible; if I find a pair of glasses at another store, they can put my lens in them. You might check with your office to see if they do that...

You'll get used to them, I have the same problem with braces and glasses. Go to other stores, and try different pairs, some cheap stores are not the best.
No glasses make people look smart, in my opinion.

No I think glasses are sexy. But it depends on the glasses you get. If you've got 1/2 inch thick lenses and lame wire frames then yeah haha.
