Eye problem help asap please!?!

Question: Eye problem help asap please!?
Okay, so my eye has been irritated for a while and id give it a rub every now and then but just a while ago it got really itchy. now it looks as if i may have pushed it in (my eyeball) my eyes are normally round and this eye looks more flat like. at the corner of my eye, not the one near my nose but the other side, is fat like it has a little ball in there. and it looks like my eyes sorta coming out but like jelly

You need to go to ER or the eye dr right now!

you didn't "push in" your eyeball. your eyelids are probably swollen from rubbing. this is probably NOT worth an ER visit. there is no way you caused significant emergent damage by rubbing an itchy eye.

there is not "jelly" coming out of your eye. there is likely fluid under your bulbar conjunctiva...again from rubbing.

1) stop rubbing. leave it alone
2) use cold compresses
3) use topical antihistamine eyedrops like OTC Alaway

if you SEE FINE from that eye, then you're fine. if you go to the ER it'll be a very expensive trip and very likely worthless.

It may be some type of allergic reaction from something you came in contact with, but you should call an ophthalmologist and have it looked at right away. Most offices will squeeze you in as an emergency, so you can hopefully avoid the ER if possible, but if no one can see you then the ER is your best bet. Always best to not let these things go.

ER not necessary, but a call you your eye doctor is. ER doctors know jack-**** about eye balls. You will be much better off seeing an eye specialist. Most of them have on-call services and emergency work-ins
