not really
With most brands of solutions, the lenses can be left in storage for up to 30 days ( multi purpose solutions )
Of course, you didn't say what solution you use, which would have helped a lot to know , but the fact it smells like vinegar isn't a good sign.
You should inspect the lenses and inside the case for any small dark spots that shouldn't be there. If they look OK , I would still put in new solution and let them sit over night again before using them.

Take them out of that solution, chuck it out and soak them in new solution for 24 hours. Then put one lens in . If it stings or hurts immediately then teh set is gone , don't put the other one in. Part of whether they are safe though depends on how long they were supposed to last for and how long you had used them for before you stopped wearing them. Don't take risks though , if in any doubt use a new set.
