Is there any way to stimulate eye-tear production in order to prevent dry eyes?!
Question: Is there any way to stimulate eye-tear production in order to prevent dry eyes?
My eyes are very dry all the time, which makes me unable to read without my eyes aching a lot. I dislike the use of eye-drops, because I think they're quite expensive where I live and I tend to be awful at aiming with them, so I would preferably not need to resort to the use of them.

I suffer from the same condition and my ophtalmlogist says unfortunately there's no cure for it!
What you should do is take omega 3 supplements daily because it is said to help tear production. Also, vitamin A is really important for the eyes so make sure you meet your daily requirements.
There is a surgical procedure to close the tear duct that is indicated in severe cases.
Have you tried gel drops ?
