I'm getting used to my contact lenses: What are some things that are good t!

Question: I'm getting used to my contact lenses: What are some things that are good to do?
I'm debating getting off of the computer since my eyes are a little sensitive right now, so I'm wondering if I should be worrying about straining my eyes by say, reading or watching TV {Even though my tv is at a good distance in the corner in my room} or if I'm okay to just stay on as long as it's not for an ungodly amount of time. (: thanks!

The main thing with screens, tv or computer and contacts is not straining your eyes its the fact that your eyes are more prone to get dry, particulalry in front of computer screens. You're o.k. to stay on provided your eyes aren't red when you take your lenses out. Make sure you drink enough water and it helps to take your eyes (and contacts ) for a walk outside. You won't get eyes more strained when you wear contacts, if anything it'll be less, but try and follow the general advice for eyestrain on screens. Lots of this on answers.

I also find that contacts can make my eyes more light sensitive so take a look at the the brightness of your screen. When you don't see well you can turn it up and then its not necessary when you wear contacts.
