Why can I shift my vision in and out of focus?!

Question: Why can I shift my vision in and out of focus?
Ever since I was little, I was able to do this. It's probably not hereditary, because my mom can't do it.
All that happens is I'm looking at something and it looks perfectly fine, and then on will, I can shift it out of focus, as if I need glasses.
This is actually very fun to do when in deep traffic, or looking at a Christmas tree, but I want to know if something's wrong with me.

Hey,

There's nothing wrong with you at all! It's called ACCOMMODATION. Everyone (under the age of 50) can do it and it helps you see and read up close.

The lens inside your eye changes shape to make your eye more powerful (much like changing a lens on a camera to a short focal length one).

Enjoy it, because by the time you're in your 50s, you wont have it and you'll need reading glasses lol!

Take care

Haha wow, it never actually occured to me that other people might not be able to do this too.
Don't worry, I can do it too :D
It's probably not that unusual haha.
