Question: Will i need two prescriptions?

I want to get Contacts for the first time, but I'd like to have a pair of glasses handy.
Will i need to get two different prescriptions for the glasses and contacts or what?

Yes, you will.

The powers aren't always the same for glasses and contacts.

A contact prescription will also include the base curve, diameter and brand of contacts prescribed. ( In the USA & UK )

Maybe, it depends. I didn't need two, but it won't matter anyway because they do both your contact and glasses prescriptions in one office visit and when I went to America's Best, it didn't cost extra. They told me that my glasses and contact prescriptions were the same. But I guess it depends on your glasses and who you go to.
