is this a good idea to have your eye prescription at full power if u have myopia!

Question: Is this a good idea to have your eye prescription at full power if u have myopia in one eye?
I am decent in one eye but -2.5 diaptors in my myopia. my doctor offered me a choice to have full power or -1.5 and not full power. Is these rumors true that if I have a full power prescription, my eye will only get worse because its too much ofr the eye. th edoc wants to give me a smaller one becuase he said i should be able ot see up close better.

Wearing full power lenses does not make your eyes worse... this is a myth...

The reason your eye doc offered you -1.50 instead of -2.50, is to try and reduce the difference between in power between the two eyes.. making your glasses easier to wear and adapt to.

You see, the higher the myopia power lens, the SMALLER the objects appear when you look through it... so if you have 1 eye, with very little power, and the other eye, high power.. then 1 eye will see images as normal size, and the other eye will see images that are significantly smaller.when you wear your glasses The brain then has to work harder to combine the 2 images... which can result in head-aches, nausea or poor balance.

Get your doctor to put both scenarios into a Trial Frame for you to see, and if you can handle the -2.50 then go for that. If it makes you sick,... then go for the -1.50
