there is no "other name" for polycarbonate lens material that i know of.

anti-glare coating is different: its not a lens material, but rather a coating that can be applied to any lens material. they're definitely not the same thing

No, not at all. That is two different things completely.

Polycarbonate is the material the lenses are made of.

Anti glare coating, is a coating treatment put on lenses to reduce reflections.

There is no real alternative name for polycarbonate, except some online sites call them 1.58 lenses, or 1.59 sometimes. Lenscrafters calls them Featherwates
