Does your vision recover 100% after getting cataracts taken out?!

Question: Does your vision recover 100% after getting cataracts taken out?
I have had a cataract in my right eye for 8 years. It first showed up when I was 18 when I moved out. I've been really poor for the last 6 years for a number of reasons and I've had to move around a lot so the best I could do was get it diagnosed.

I was wondering if my vision will recover when I can finally get it removed? I have no vision in that eye at all and its been like this for a long time. The pupil is a light grey.

Answers:

yes but you will likely need glasses, especially reading glasses b/c the new implant won't be able to "focus" like a normal lens in an otherwise healthy 26-ish year old's

unless you get a multifocal implant which is considerably more $$ (and IMO doesn't work all that great either)

My vision did recover 100% when the cataracts were removed, and has remained excellent since the surgery 8 years ago. I know you will take care of it as soon as you can. Don't waste your precious eyesight. Best luck.
