Help this is so uncomfortable?!

Question: Help this is so uncomfortable?
there is a problem with my left eye. the last time i went to the optometrist they told me that i had exophoria. they told me to do some eye exercises which i have been doing for the past year or so. but the exercises have not really helped one bit. My exophoria causes my left eye to deviate to the far left of my eye lid. This happens while my right eye remains the same. when this happens my vision is cross eyed and it is very uncomfortable. i have looked myself in the mirror while this happens and i can see my left eye move ever so slowly to the left and i can feel it moving and it is very uncomfortable.

i was wondering if there is anything i can do because as i said this feeling is very uncomfortable. It means i cant concentrate on things as well as i use to and it has really made me tired. and does anyone else have this problem.thanks

While I do not wish to offend our optometry friends here, a consultation with an ophthalmologist might be worth while. An ophthalmologist is an MD, which can do surgical procedures as opposed to just recommending exercises. If this is something that can be corrected surgically they would be the ones to do it, or refer you to a specialist if they don't do it themselves. Not to say that this is even an option, but since it bothers you so much it would be worth the time to find out if more can be done.
