Some times an infection settles in the eye, but I don't think it's called pink eye then. If it keeps up, see a doctor, could be something else too.
I'm still getting over the exact same cold you have, and I had pink eye for about a day and a half. Let me tell you, Polysporin Pink Eye drops. Took it away in 10 hours. It's a miracle.
Personal experience, I've been pink eye free for 12 hours.
It can be, or maybe a sinus infection. I would def go to the doctor as soon as you can, because either way you will need antibiotics. :(

if it starts getting gunked up bad, go to the eye doctor right away, if it is, it wont get better till you get some medicine.
