Chemical accidents, burns, injuries
getting a tape worm or anything like that..that ends up hatching in you eye
saw monsters in side of my episode on animal planet where a girl lost her eye sight in one of her eyes because of a worm
If your eye got stabbed with very sharp, long nail, pencils, or some other such object, it would likely cause the condition you are describing.
