When you mean cry, you mean the 'eye' producing tears?... or do you mean wailing and making crying sounds??? :)

Although we say it, but the eye doesn't produce tears... they're made by glands in the skin (oils), and a large gland under the top lid (water) called the lacrimal gland. Unless this gland was damaged in the process of being blind - eg trauma, or cancer, or surgery... then the person can still produce tears and cry.

[Footprint..] you mean the tear GLANDS.. not the tear DUCT?.. the tear duct drains tears away from the eye... it has no role in producing tears for crying.

Except for rare cases , blind people still have working tear ducts , so they can still cry like any one else.

Don't need a source for that.

Oooops, sorry , meant tear glands, not tear ducts.
