Oh poor you, i have had that before, it's called "conjunctivitis!"
It is when a bit of dirt or something has got in your eye, and your eye just cant get it out, so it starts overproducing "sleepy dust" ... It is probably due to the cold you have too!
You probably need to go and see your doctor, and he/she will give you antibiotic eye drops.

Sometimes it could also be an eye infection, your eyes are neglecting your contacts. i would try sleeping with out them for a while maybe they'll get better.
nothing your eyes are open to all types of thing dust and so on . take out your contacts an hour before bed rinse your eyes before going to sleep.that should help if your in the sun a lot with out sun glasses that not good ether
