Question: Does sleeping with a blindfold effect your eyes light sensitivity?
Ive been sleeping with a blindfold the pastfew days and today every lint even the dim gym ones bothered me and now I'm home and I have a head ache could it be the blind folds?

Yes, it can.

My sister had to wear one when she had an eye surgery and she would be in pain any time that we would turn on a light, even though she was wearing the blindfold. This is because your eye needs more time to adapt to the level of light since there is a bigger difference. That's why it hurts for a few seconds when you turn on a light during the night, or when you go from regular lightening inside to bright sun outside.

However, if your symptoms persist during the day, you should definitely see an optometrist.



No, the blindfold is just supposed to help you sleep better so light doesn't get in.
