Question: Only person in family with bad eyesight? ?
I'm 14 and have realised that I'm struggling to see the board at school and things far away so I'm almost 100% certain I need glasses, but I'm slightly worried because no one has needed glasses in my families history. Has this happened to anyone else? Normally it's genetic reasons :/ and because of this I'm scared to go to the opticians! Could it possibly be because I used to go use the computer a lot (I'm talking like 4-6 hours a day)

Maybe the babies got mixed up at the hospital the day you were born?
At the time you were conceived, did your mailman wear glasses?
Seriously, I don't believe the computer messed up your eyes, if that was the case, almost everyone would need glasses by now. Although nearsightedness tends to be genetic, sometimes it just shows up randomly. Usually it is nothing to panic about.
