Can poor vision make color-blindness worse?!

Question: Can poor vision make color-blindness worse?
I'm color-blind. In the last couple of years I've been noticing that it's been getting worse. I just saw my eye doctor and he said that I need glasses. Apparently one eye is very bad and the other is fine, that's why I never really noticed anything. I tried on their sample glasses and room seemed to brighten up. I don't know if it was my imagination or the glasses. Could just normal glasses correct color-blindness a little?

Colour-blindness is a genetic disorder, glasses cannot effect it. What you have is probably similar to what I have. One eye is "lazy" (you don't have a lazy eye, it's just that one doesn't do it's share of work). So that one bad eye is forcing the other eye to do all the work and the added strain to the functioning eye makes your vision appear to fail. You are being hooked up with prism glasses no? This makes it easier on your working eye. It's not that your eyes are failing at seeing colours now, it's just that your good eye is getting to strained to work at 100%. When I study for long periods of time I basically become blind and can't read because things become so blurry. When you put on the glasses it took some of the strain off of you eyes and thus more focused vision, and the perception of brighter colours.

If they don't already have you do this, try doing these eye exercises for two minutes everyday. You just need two pens, you hold them at arms length in front of you, one in front of the other but still separated considerably. Then all you do for 2 minutes is look between the two focusing on one and then the other. Look at the far one, make sure that while you are looking at the far one you can see two of the close pens in your peripheral vision. Then look at the close one, and make sure that while focusing on the close one you can see two of the far pen in your peripherals.

Focusing back and forth between the two forces your lazy eye to work with your good eye. This strengthens the muscles in your weak eye and improves your vision overtime. But I advise you, THIS WILL CAUSE HEADACHES FOR THE FIRST FEW DAYS. I had horrible pain the back of my head (the optical part of the brain) for the first couple of days. This is the same as if you were working out heavily at the gym lifting weights, your arms are going to hurt, and so will your eyes after an eye workout. My eyes don't hurt anymore after the workouts, and if you keep up with them neither will yours. Goodluck!

i don't think so. normal glasses only functions to magnify/ demagnify things for your vision, as far as i know. Maybe it was just the light/effect of the glasses that made your vision brighten up, just necessarily the color blindness.
