Can you put an anti glare coating on a glass lens?!

Question: Can you put an anti glare coating on a glass lens?
Today i bought my glasses and the lens is made of Plastic.I never wanted the plastic lenses but my doctor insisted to go for it.
The reason for me disliking plastic lenses is that they give me a fell as if the image has been slightly elongated. My present configuration of the lenses is :- +0.25 and anti-glare.
I want to change my Lenses Because i Cannot live with the lens distortion.

My Question here is that can i get anti-glare coating on the Glass Lens...??

Yes, anti reflection can be put on glass , at some labs. Fewer and fewer labs are even doing glass anymore.

Seeing the image slightly elongated has nothing to do with the fact your lenses are plastic btw.

If plastic lenses gave a bad or false image, everyone wouldn't be wearing them.

One lab that can do this for you (they do lots of custom work) is www.replacementlensexpress.com. I believe they charge $35 to apply and anti-glare coating. It's a very small family run business in Connecticut, so they are really friendly and responsive and I got everything shipped to me that same week. Good Luck! (oh- the optician's name is David and his e-mail is info@replacementlensexpress.com if you need to ask him about anything else to do with either lenses or frames.)
