Can prosthetic eyes dilate?!


Question: Can prosthetic eyes dilate?
do prosthetic eyes dilate? im 10 years old and jsut got my right eye removed cus i had eye cancer. im getting a prostetic eye in a few weeks and i dont kno anything abot them. can u tell me about them and tell me if the eye dilates like my real eye does?

No, it can't dilate. The iris and pupil are painted on . They normally look very real and the same colors as the other eye, It's a real art to make those.

The eye itself is made of a type of plastic, so it can't function like a real eye does, although it looks quite normal usually.
