Question: What causes a bleed behind the eye?
my step dad had his eyes test recently and he was told he has had a bleed behind the eye. i was told it can be caused by a injury to the head but he has not had one he has not had any ops on his eyes. he was told he would have to go and have blood tests done but as it stands we are still no wiser as to what has caused this and what the reprocutions of it are could someone please give us any info to help us understand a little more please

It can be caused by a head injury, but it can also be caused by uncontrolled high blood pressure. Also, if he has had a bad cough or something like that that would cause increased pressure can cause it too. It may resolve on its own, but it can also cause blindness in the affected eye... Only time will tell- good luck.
