Do I need glasses for distance?!

Question: Do I need glasses for distance?
I'm 28 [Both parents have glasses btw] and I can sit in my living room chair and approx 10ft away is a picture on the wall with big black letters and if I put my hand over my left eye and read with my right eye the letters are clear. But if I put my hand over my right eye and read with my left eye the letters are blurry and I can't make them out. But I don't want to go get my eyes checked and they say no you don't need glasses, and it was a waste of time and money. What do y'all think? Let me know, thanks ^,^

Heres what you do to tell...get video camera..set it up...stand up with one hand over your one eye..then pick up one foot and hop up and down 3 times...make sure you wear a white tank top cause other colors will reflect into your vision and throw it off..also, and I know this will sound crazy, dont wear a bra (the constriction from the bra against the back will stop the blood flow to your eyes, once again effecting your vision)..now do this for about 5min...upload the video to your facebook and send me the link...or just go to the doctor but i like my way better.

if you drive, then u will be require by the law to wear glasses or contacts. but other than that if u cant see far away and are having problems then i suggest you go see an eye doctor. if u cant see more than 10ft away then yes u need glasses. do ur parents have the same eye problem? if so then try their glasses and if that helps then u will need to see a doctor and get ur own glasses.

You should get your eyes checked regularly. Taking care of yourself is never a waste of money. And yes you need glasses. You can't see ten damn feet in front of your face! I hope you don't drive.

Yes I can read. I answered your question and you're arguing about it. Go to the f*cking doctor or stop asking.
