Eyes seeing rapid white flashes?!


Question: Eyes seeing rapid white flashes?
My eyes during the day time are just fine, im coming down with a fever and ive been taking Delsym, during the night or anytime in the dark, my eyes see fast rapid white flashes. The minute i turn a light on it stoppes. Anyone have any idea what this is or how to resolve the problem?

hi just to say go see a eye doctor as this is a sign of optic neuritis which is the biggest first symptom of multiple sclerosis they are called sound or movement induced phosphates i get them when i shut my eyes and then move my eyes or when i m awake but the thing is with optic neuritis..

Honestly I'm really not sure on this one. It could be a problem with you dark adapting, you may have reduced rod sensitivity. (a problem with the photoreceptors in your eyes)

It also could be possible retinal or vitreal detachment. In this case you should go see your optometrist to be sure.

As far as cures go, go to your optometrist they will be able to help you.



Well you are sick so your body does all kind of weird things. Don't worry about it unless it continues after you are fully healed.
