Errr.... Nearsighted [MYOPIA] and Farsighted [HYPEROPIA] are opposites.. you can't have both... he..he.. many people are confused about this... Astigmatism.. is OK.. you can have that with everything... :)

My guess is that... you're over 40?
Also.. let me guess that... when you don't wear glasses, you can't see far...
but when you put your glasses on, you can't see close?
This (not being able to see close with your glasses on) is not farsighted, but... age-sighted [PRESBYOPIA]... (sorry). It has to do with your focussing system not able to shift into close vision.

To answer your question:
Yes you can get laser surgery. Depending on your Rx.. the surgeon will offer you 2 options.
1. Correct both eyes for distance, and then you have to wear glasses to see up close.
2. Correct 1 eye for distance, and correct the other eye for near so that you have MONOVISION.. if your brain can adapt to this (trialled with Contact Lenses first), then you won't need glasses for all distances.

The astigmatism... if mild will also be treated too.

90% of all people between the ages of 18 and 65 who are either nearsighted, farsighted or have astigmatism – are excellent candidates for the procedure. But the only way to know for sure if you are a candidate is to undergo a preoperative eye examination.

It’s not possible for an eye to have nearsightedness (myopia) and far-sightedness (hyperopia) together, but it could have one or the other accompanied by astigmatism. If your distance vision is blurry, you likely have nearsightedness, and if you struggle to see up close, then you might have presbyopia – an age related condition which forces most people above the age of 40 to wear reading glasses. At a preoperative eye examination an eye care specialist would be able to recommend the procedure that is best suited to your needs.

A person can technically be nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other eye. Astigmatism can accompany both refractive errors or occur by itself. If you have presbyopia, I suggest asking your doctor what surgical options would best meet your needs. If you have a high degree of nearsightedness than an ICL may be a better option than laser surgery.
