How long should I wear contacts the first day?!

Question: How long should I wear contacts the first day?
I used to wear contacts like two years ago, but I switched back to glasses. I still have 2 pair that are the same as my current prescription, how long can I wear them for the first couple days? Can I jump right into and wear them all day or do I need to ease into it?

If you feel any discomfort, you can simply take them out. But if they've been with you for 2 years, check if their expiration date is over!!

Anywhere from three to five hours. You can keep adding one hour every following day, until you reach your own maximum (which usually varies from ten to fourteen hours).

Wearing contact lenses is an entirely different experience from wearing regular glasses. Your eyes need to get used to them, otherwise you might get (excruciating) headaches. ;) Especially if it's been two years since you last used contacts.

Been wearing contact lenses (RPGs, soft monthly replacable ones and daily replacable ones) for about three years now.

That depends. If you put contacts in and they are comfortable well wear them all day. If they aren't comfortable and you can feel them just wear them for a couple of hours or for half the day then take them out. And keep doing that until you get used to them again.

I wouldn't wear them any longer than 4 hours the first day. You can work up from there.
